Attention all number crunchers and stats geeks! It’s the BuzzBuzzHome Blog weekend edition, bringing you the latest figures on home prices that we know you’ve been waiting for all week.

Okay maybe we’re exaggerating that a bit… We should probably just shut up and let the numbers do the talking.

Earlier this week, Statistics Canada reported that new home prices remained flat in Metro Vancouver for the month of September, but rose 0.1 per cent from September 2010 to September 2011.

Meanwhile in Toronto, home prices posted a gain of 0.3 per cent from August to September.

Prices were higher in eight of the 21 metro regions that the survey covers. The Winnipeg region posted the highest increase at 1.4 per cent while Halifax came in second with a 0.7 per cent rise.
