It’s Monday afternoon and we have Georgia on our minds.

No it’s not because we just watched Ray (but that’s a great movie!), it’s because we’ve been reading up on The Private Residences at Hotel Georgia, the ultra-classy new development in the heart of Vancouver.

The 48 storey tower is one of the tallest in the city and is adjacent to the historic and recently restored Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

The Private Residences will boast 156 units ranging in size from 1028 square feet to 3700 square feet. It will feature some glorious architecture by IBI Group and Endall Elliot Architects and inspired interior design by Mitchell Freedland Design.

Bruce Langereis, President of Delta Land Development, the group developing the hotel and residential tower, has said that the opening of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia will allow prospective purchasers to experience the quality and luxury that will be replicated in the Private Residences.

“This is truly a legendary real estate offering, a legacy and landmark combination that puts home owners in the very heart of our beautiful city and delivers access to a range of world-class amenities and privileges,” he says.

We like the sounds of that! After all, who doesn’t like a development that has some amazing history to back it up? In fact, we should do a quick history lesson right now…

Back in 1927, the Hotel Georgia opened its doors and went on to gain a reputation of attracting movie stars, music sensations and British royalty (wow!). It was just reopened in July under the management of Rosewood.

Residents at Hotel Georgia will have the opportunity to take advantage of the hotel’s amenities like room service, the spa, limousine and concierge services, and valet services.

We’ll be buzzing again about this exciting BC project soon enough. We’re sure Georgia will be on your mind until then!
