Young Torontonians are flocking to the St. Clair West neighbourhood, reinvigorating the area and creating a distinct urban character.
Need proof? Just look at the burgeoning foot traffic along St. Clair West. People making tough decisions about which awesome cafe to grab a seat at and which specialty boutique to check out — it’s a great place to be, whether you’re spending the afternoon in the neighbourhood or you call the area home.
The folks over at Reserve Properties agree wholeheartedly, especially the part about calling the area home. That’s why they’ve chosen the southeast corner of St. Clair West and Bathurst as the new location for RISE Condominiums, a 25 storey project with 320 units.
Suites start from the low $200,000s and residents will have access to an incredible 18,000 square feet of amenities.
“We wanted to give RISE that sexy hotel vibe and provide an opportunity for the neighbourhood to have the pizazz and wow factor without having to go live on King West,” said Shane Fenton, VP of Reserve Properties.
Well Shane, upon reading up about the amenities, sounds like it’s mission accomplished.
An infinity pool soars above the St. Clair escarpment and offers tremendously tantalizing views of downtown Toronto. Swanky! RISE‘s outdoor terrace features an awesome entertainment space with dining and cooking areas, fire pits and private cabana lounges.
Graziani + Corazza Architects are handling RISE‘s design. A Mondrian inspired pattern will rise up its facade and, according to lead architect Enzo Corazza, “a distinct weave of horizontal and vertical white bands will highlight the intersection and add a contemporary dialogue to the neighbourhood’s burgeoning urban character.”
Moving inside, RISE‘s grand lobby will appeal to a luxurious aesthetic by incorporating contemporary chandeliers, bronze details, lacquered woods and polished chrome. Sophisticated? You bet!
Adeptly handling the interiors is Toronto design community mainstay II By IV Design Associates. Speaking of the project, Dan Menchions explains that “this project will set the precedent for future development in the neighbourhood, and it will be a statement piece for where design is heading not just in Toronto but also internationally.”
