The BuzzBuzzHomies strapped on our party hats and ventured off to Reve Condos last night for a special preview event with a green twist to it.

Tridel, the developer behind Reve, was showcasing their unique Next Living Ecosuite. The Ecosuite is an efficiently designed suite that combines natural materials and leading edge technology to create an incredibly eco-friendly living space.

When we showed up at Reve (560 Front Street West), we knew we’d be seeing the future of green condo living, but what we didn’t realize was that green living could be so much fun!

The Ecosuite will be officially unveiled on October 15 and 16. Check it out between noon and 6pm.

But first, have a look at our photos from the awesome evening and read on to learn more about the Ecosuite.

The Reve event was catered by the acclaimed Jamie Kennedy. We couldn’t decide what we liked better: the quiche, the french fries or the fried mushrooms.
Drinks all around!
The energy was lively as the DJ laid down some primo beats. We heard some Kanye West so we were happy!
The Twaterfall! This was such an awesome idea and a big success to boot. To get a tweet on the Twaterfall, all you needed to do was tweet with the hashtag #Ecosuite. We’re hoping to see this type of thing at more events soon.
Before making our way up to see the Ecosuite we decided to check out more of Reve’s amazing party room.
It was quite spacious and even though there were lots of people in attendance, it never felt cramped.
Hopefully taking this photo didn’t jinx her. We think she still made the shot though, what a pro!
Jim Ritchie, Tridel’s Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, speaks about the significance and uniqueness of the Ecosuite.
The “tallest guy in the room” Ben Myers (of Urbanation fame) speaks about the strength of the Toronto condo market.
Enter the Ecosuite! You can control just about everything with the Smart Connected Home Controller. You can even switch up the music playing throughout the suite! And to top it all off it can be controlled remotely through your iPad or iPhone. How cool is that?
Tridel worked with Cisco Canada and Control4 to build the amazing Ecosuite.
The suite offers Control4 lighting solutions including keypads and dimmers.
The owner has the ability to control their environment remotely and this creates new possibilities when it comes to participating in demand-side power management opportunities.
Tridel has installed PowerPanel solar collectors — a renewable energy technology that provides photovoltaic power and solar heated hot water directly to the suite.
The fireplace of the future. Other features include spray foam insulation to reduce energy loss through the walls, an energy recovery ventilation system and low emitting materials in the cabinets and paints.

Thanks to Tridel for a great night of green fun!
