Every David Bowie fan has a favourite “Bowie phase”, whether it’s the funk and soul phase of the mid-70s, the “Berlin trilogy” created during the late 70s or the post-disco era of the early 80s.

But if that last sentence didn’t make much sense to you, then odds are the condo tower pictured above won’t be all that appealing.

A giant image of Ziggy Stardust, the glam rock character that Bowie created for his 1972 album of the same name, will adorn this condo in Prahran, a suburb in Melbourne, Australia.

Donald Musto, the developer behind the Bowie building, has said that the image will resonate with a wide generational group. True! Bowie is a pretty popular guy, but was Ziggy Stardust the best choice? Why not psychedelic rock Bowie? Or electronica Bowie? What about funky Bowie? We could go on…
