Call us exaggerators or perpetrators of hyperbole if you must, but we think that all this development currently underway in Vaughan is the biggest thing to happen to the York region city since pioneers settled the area in the first half of the 19th century.
Leading the charge on the condo front is the Cortel Group and YYZed Project Management, with the first phase of Expo Condos, a 37 storey tower on Regional Road 7, near Jane Street. The site is situated only moments away from a new subway station that’s being built as part of the Spadina Line extension. Doesn’t get much more convenient than that.
We paid a visit to the sales centre a two weeks ago to snap some shots of the two model suites and scale model of the tower (and of course, blogged all about it).
The centre was bustling with potential buyers, but it was nowhere near as crowded on that sunny afternoon as it was on Wednesday night when excited onlookers came in droves to watch the ribbon cutting ceremony for this groundbreaking project.

There will be no shortage of fresh updates about this project. It’s just the type of development that always seems to have something exciting going on. Congrats to the Cortel Group and YYZed Project Management for holding such a successful ribbon cutting ceremony. Check back soon for the latest buzz on Expo Condos.
