There are a lot of new developments sprouting up in Mississauga’s burgeoning condominium market, but you’d be hard pressed to find one as visually distinct as Absolute World towers.

The collaboration between Cityzen Development Group and Fernbrook Homes has had design and architecture buffs salivating over the  Absolute World towers’ curvaceous figure. The design was created by Chinese architect Ma Yansong for a competition held by Cityzen. Yansong’s design won of course, and it’s been turning heads ever since.

In fact, the project, dubbed “Marilyn Monroe” because of its curvy figure, even caught the attention of the New York Times last week. The Times was so into the design that famed morning talk show hosts Regis and Kelly couldn’t resist mentioning it on their July 20 show. This is definitely a testament to how unique Absolute World is.

The three shorter towers in Absolute World have already been completed and occupied, it’s the striking Tower 4 and Tower 5 that are still being worked on. That being said, construction teams are closing in on the finish line and first occupancy was granted in Tower 4 on June 20. The first residents have already started moving in!

Over in Tower 5, crews are working toward inspection dates that are set for September and move-ins scheduled for October.

Cityzen was kind enough to send over some great pics of the progress at Absolute World. Check them out!

It was a beautiful day for photographing these architectural wonders.
Now do you see why they’re nickname is Marilyn Monroe? Those curves!
The view from the top. A beautiful panorama looking eastward.
The crew is hard at work striving to meet that October move-in date for Tower 5.

While these photos do capture the voluptuous figure, they still can’t do the towers justice. We highly recommend you head out to Mississauga for a look at what is surely one of North America’s most striking condo designs.
