There’s a very cool conversion project gaining steam in downtown Kitchener. Auburn Developments is converting the former Arrow Shirt factory into airy residential loft space, to be known, logically enough, as Arrow Lofts.

And when we say airy – we mean airy: ceiling heights will stretch up to 13 feet and, as seen, in the rendering to the left, windows are certainly not in short supply.

What is in short supply, so far at least, is project details, though we can tell you that suite sizes will range from 677 to 2051 square feet and that the amenity list includes a fitness facility, a rooftop lounge, boardrooms, a movie screening room, and a library.

As for the location, it seems there’s not much the Kitchener-Waterloo region can do wrong these days. It continue to be Canada’s burgeoning tech-hub and is home to a handful of some this country’s finest academic institutions and think-tanks as well as a robust arts and culture scene. Arrow Lofts will also be a short walk from a plethora of urban amenities (restaurants, bistros, drinkin’ spots, etc) and, of course, lovely Victoria Park.

Our interest is officially piqued! We promise to bring you all the buzz as the project progresses.
