We’re just back from the well-attended Media and VIP Launch held at the project’s glamorously appointed presentation centre.
Let’s start by zooming quickly over the nuts and bolts: The Yorkville Condominiums will be a 31-storey, 238-unit luxury condominium and townhouse project soon to light up the intersection of Davenport Road and Mcmurrich Street.
At the launch, we caught up with Tanya Richardson and Melandro Quilatan, the two principals at Tomas Pearce Interior Design Consulting Inc, who are in charge of what the building’s interior will be all about.
Melandro says the duo were generally inspired by the neighbourhood’s fashion consciousness, cultural buzz, and savoury restaurants, and ultimately, he laughed “we knew it had to be glamorous.” In that spirit, added Tanya, “the fabrics and furniture used both in the model suite and soon in the building are beautiful, luxurious, and lustrous but are also practical and liveable.”
The two said they’re guided by the project’s mantra: ‘Yorkvillism.’
And now, on with the show. . .
The already ubiquitous photograph above (last in our series) was the winner of an interesting joint-initiative between The Yorkville Condominiums and Ryerson’s School of Image Arts – more on that in an upcoming story. . .
