Charlie Sheen is #winning on Twitter, he just set a new Guinness World Record for acquiring a million followers in 24 hours, but Sheen should probably #planbetter when it comes to real estate.

The man made of #tigerblood is in escrow to purchase a Beverly Hills home for $7,495,000. The house originally belonged to Mike Medavoy, CEO of Phoenix Pictures and producer of Black Swan, who purchased it for $6 million just three months ago!

In other words, in the midst of America’s largest housing bust ever, #teamsheen is paying a $1.5 million premium on this Beverly Hills mansion.

Sheen is supposedly buying the home for his ex-wife Denise Richards. The house is 9,020 square feet and located in a gated community in a half-acre lot. It has an outdoor bar and kitchen, two terraces, a heated veranda overlooking a swimming pool, library, butler’s pantry and a formal dining room with views of the city and mountains.

In defense of Sheen overpaying for this property, he may simply have better things to do than bargain hunt for homes (like racking up Twitter followers and fighting CBS). On the other hand, if he wants to save a million or so on his next home he should #planbetter.
