More than two years after he vowed to crack into the Indian real estate market, Donald Trump is developing a luxury residential tower in Mumbai.

Donald Trump Jr (Trump’s son), recently told the Times of India that the project would be the product of a partnership with Rohan Lifescapes, a large Indian development company.

Trump Jr, said that the project will begin to be marketed in earnest next month.

Mumbai is India’s most expensive real estate market but has been hampered by the crash in home prices across the country. After reaching record prices early in 2010, new home sales in India have fallen by 25%.

The project is reportedly a 60-storey, 45-unit tower and will be built on the site of a former hospital in one of the city’s toniest neighbourhoods.

Trump has also branded skyscrapers in Tijuana, Seoul and Istanbul among other cities.
