The hotly anticipated Studio on Richmond [map] by Aspen Ridge Homes is set to throw the doors of its Presentation Gallery open to the world tomorrow – and we at BuzzBuzzHome were lucky enough to get an early look!

The space is an artsy nod to two neighbourhood institutions: the AGO, and, more specifically, the Ontario College of Art and Design which will operate an 8,000 square foot public art gallery in Studio on Richmond itself.

As such, the model suite is presented, not as usual in a corner of the sales centre, but in the middle, surrounded by other works of art. The model suite is, quite literally, the pièce de résistance in an engaging collection of artwork and the overall effect is of elevating the room from ‘sales centre’ to ‘Presentation Gallery.’

So what’s it like?

The 746 square foot, 2-bedroom suite is an exercise in clever uses of space, clean, practical design and nuanced but fun touches. In the kitchen, the chic and efficient cabinetry complements the, well, chic and efficient Miele appliances. The two bedrooms are lighthearted and airy. And the den opens nicely from the kitchen, making it perfect for entertaining your witty, great-lookin’ friends.

Structurally, the mullions are representative – meaning what you see is what you get. (What do you call someone with a million of them? A mullionaire, of course.) Keeping with the theme of accurate representation, the suite features a scale balcony accessible from the den and master bedroom.

Christene De Gasperis, of Aspen Ridge Homes, who showed BuzzBuzz around the place, says that this Presentation Gallery is the finest her company has ever pulled together. See it for yourself starting tomorrow – and check out the following pics for a preview.

Special thanks to Ms. De Gasperis for showing us around. The Studio on Richmond by Aspen Ridge Homes Presentation Gallery is located on-site at the intersection of Duncan and Nelson Streets, just south of Richmond Street.
