CHAZ on Charles [map], the luxury condominium set to rise above the Yonge-Bloor intersection can add a growing family to its list of excited buyers.
Sara and Paul Gomez, who are expecting their first child early in the new year, are the kind of people marketing teams love to attract: savvy, upwardly-mobile youngsters, who could conceivably choose to live just about anywhere.
That they chose CHAZ, says something. The project, an Edenshaw Homes and 45 Charles Ltd. partnership, first attracted the Gomezes by the power of its glittering address. Says Sarah:
“We decided to purchase here for the simple fact that it is one of the most desirable locations in downtown Toronto. It’s close to Yorkville with its exclusive shopping and upscale restaurants. It’s also close to Ryerson University and University of Toronto, and both the Yonge and Bloor subway lines. It’s just so convenient.”
“This is going to be an exceptionally beautiful building when it’s completed. It has a modern flair that appeals to an assortment of people.”

Sarah and Paul opted for the 496 sq. ft. one-bedroom Bocca suite, and were pumped by the standard features, including Corian counter-tops and porcelain tile, which would ordinarily be considered upgrades.
Of the array of building amenities, the couple says they’re most excited about CHAZ CLUB, a two-storey, south-facing space with floor to ceiling windows, in which the Grand Room with Lounge and Bar, and a dining room, are to be found.
There’s also a Pet Spa, complete with stainless steel tub and blow dryer, that Sarah says will be invaluable in the winter, “when dirty paws can be a nightmare.”
The Gomez pooch had no comment.
