One Valhalla [map] and its second phase, Thunderbird [map], want you to live life as though you were a 1950s suburbanite–lots of style and class in a new wave of Etobicoke living, but with snazzier amenities than, say, a hibachi.
Developer Edilcan is flashing back to the era of personal luxury, in their advertising campaign (left), the name of their second tower (1955 Ford Thunderbird) and the site location (one of Canada’s first motor ins, the Valhalla).
So what’s their notion of personal luxury? Let’s start with the two bedroom suite…
Ranging from 814 to 1,439 sq. ft., many of the two bedrooms come with a study, den or family room, all with spacious outdoor areas. Model suites are decked by Munge Leung.
Hip design: a neutral palate for modern tastes, but retro throwback touches have been added with the rectangular-shaped lamp and cabinet.
Kitchens feature Euro-style cabinetry with full height pantry, granite counter tops, ceramic tile backsplash and overhead track lighting.
This dining area definitely has some retro touches, especially with that wicked horse statue and chandelier.
One Valhalla will be comprised of three towers, the tallest of which is Thunderbird.
Personal luxury doesn’t end with the suites, of course. Amenities include a movie theatre, swimming pool with whirl pool, lounge and party room with dining area, catering kitchen, games and billiard room, fully-equipped gym and men’s and women’s saunas.
