Our second crane related story today is on Cityzen Group, Fernbrook Homes, and Castlepoint Realty’s L Tower [map] project.
This story is about a crane going UP as opposed to one being taken DOWN – both are huge milestones for any construction site.
There are 2 cranes on the L Tower site with the most recent one being the tallest free-standing crane in all of Canada (so we’re told from the Cityzen blog).
The second crane was erected a couple of weeks ago and after hearing that it would be the tallest crane in Canada we had to check it out for ourselves!
The smaller crane (left) is servicing the renovations of the Sony Centre part of the site with the second crane (right) taking care of the rest
The cranes are visible from all directions and will be part of the skyline for walkers-by for some time to come!
According to the Cityzen blog, by the end of the project, the crane will be over 600 ft. tall
A passer-by has a peek in at the construction
So next time you’re walking by the construction site with some buddies you can impress them with your knowledge of the cranes!
