Last Friday, the BuzzBuzzMobile was busted out as we headed to Mississauga to attend the topping off party for one of the most talked about projects in all the land – Absolute World [map] by Fernbrook Homes and Cityzen Development Group.

Absolute World promises to be to Mississauga what the CN Tower is to Toronto – if you ever get lost, just look out for the unmistakable landmark and you’ll have your bearings!

This project seems to have been around forever, partly because of the worldwide coverage it’s development has enjoyed, constantly keeping it in the news and in our minds.

The evening itself seemed to be a great success – there was a huge turnout and Mayor Hazel McCallion’s attendance helped to keep people entertained!

All of the partners in Absolute were in attendance, as was Ping Jiang from MAD Architects (the Beijing based company who won the International Design Competition back in 2006) who flew in especially for the event.

Check out some of our photos from the event below:

Our ‘artsy’ shot! There was an amazing fireworks display in between the two towers to cap off the evening’s events.

Many thanks to Cityzen Development Group for inviting us along to enjoy the festivities.
