Did you know that Lady Gaga hit 1 billion views on YouTube over the weekend? That is insane.

“We reached 1 Billion views on YouTube little monsters,” Lady Gaga wrote on her Twitter page. “If we stick together we can do anything. I dub u kings and queens of YouTube! Unite!”

Obviously, video is a powerful tool!

Why the sudden rise in video? In the last 10 years, bandwidth exploded 100-fold, making large videos shareable on the web. In fact, 80 million hours of YouTube are watched every day.

According to Cisco, within four years, 90% of the web’s content will be video.

Recently I watched a TEDX talk, by Chris Anderson that talks about “Crowd Accelerated Innovation”, and the power of the video on the world. In short, according to TED, Crowd Accelerated Innvoation is “…a self-fueling cycle of learning that could be as significant as the invention of print. But to tap into its power, organizations will need to embrace radical openness.”

If you can create a video that goes viral, in effect you will have an audience the size of major sport-stadiums or sporting events.

Video can no longer be ignored and Braun / Allison is one real-estate marketing firm that seems to get it, and is trying to apply it to the real-estate and land development industry.

Invite the crowd, let in the light, and dial in the desire. But for this to happen, you need to let in the light and show the world what you have.
