Toronto hosts a lot of high profile festivals and events each year, but the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) takes the cake as the city’s most prestigious.
When else can you catch a glimpse of Natalie Portman sipping a latte at the Starbucks you usually buy your morning brew from? Or Christopher Walken casually enjoying a bento box at your favourite Japanese restaurant?
So we’ve talked a bit about the high profile festival, now let’s talk about the high profile condominiums.
Of course, I’m referring to Festival Tower [map], a joint venture by The Daniels Corporation and the Reitman family. It’s an incredible condominium that’s situated atop the TIFF Bell Lightbox at the corner of King and John.
For those of you living under a rock, the Bell Lightbox is the new permanent home of TIFF and the Festival Tower is the dazzling 46-story tower that rises above it.
BuzzBuzzHome was kindly invited by The Daniels Corporation to take a tour of Festival Tower, so we jumped at the opportunity and as soon as we had our hard hats and steel toed boots on, we grabbed our camera and headed downtown…..
Talk about a room with a view…46th floor
If the dome were open you could definitely watch a game from up here.
The view looking eastward.
Don’t think I could do this job if I were afraid of heights.
In all its glory. Check out this insane railing system!
Heading in for our tour of the suites.
Having a look at the kitchen (which will soon feature Miele kitchen appliances as standard, sweet!)
Work is continuing at a healthy pace to finish the suites.
A little balcony shot to wrap things up.
Alright so I admit that was a bit of a tease, but we’ll be posting more photos of the suites and some very cool shots of the ongoing construction shortly, so keep checking back for that.
Construction is nearing completion and the first occupancies are slated for November. Only five suites remain on the market in this development so there’s little time to waste if Festival Tower sounds like the place for you.
