Rumour has it that interest in 68 Main Street Condominiums in Markham Village continues to be going strong.

Registrants await the Grand Opening of this building by Sierra Building Group, which is located in the heart of Main Street Markham.

What is amazing, is that this new condominium has already been a hit at the Preview Sale that was held over the summer.

While not in downtown Toronto, residents will enjoy the village setting of this condominium, where residents will be able to walk to an assortment of shops, restaurants, pubs and services along Main Street, some housed in the original buildings from the 1800s. That is unique for a project not in downtown Toronto.

But, downtown Toronto is still extremely accessible. Suite owners will be able to walk to the GO Station in five minutes, and can be in downtown Toronto in half an hour.

Part of the revitalization of Main Street, 68 Main Street will add a residential dynamic to this historic part of the Town of Markham. The building will feature a landscaped rooftop garden, plus on the ground level, retail stores, a private piazza-style Old World courtyard with a cobblestone walkway and pergola, and an outdoor café.

In the building itself, concierge service will be provided from the lobby, a fitness centre will be next to the media/club room, which will be chicly decorated and equipped with the latest entertainment technology. There will be retail venues on the main floor around the courtyard, and on the spectacular rooftop terrace, residents will be able to barbecue and lounge.

With sustainability in mind, 68 Main Street is being constructed to LEED® standards. One of the environmentally friendly elements will be car-share vehicles in the building that can be used for a small fee by the hour or by the day.

Flanagan Beresford and Patteson designed the architecture for 68 Main Street, which will include just 143 suites. Sporting a brick-and-stone exterior, this intimate building will fit in seamlessly with Main Street Markham’s special appeal. The façade will extend only four storeys and then step back to accommodate spacious terraces and another two storeys.

Once the Presentation Centre opens, be sure to tour the Flora Di Menna Designs-appointed model suite areas to see for yourself the high level of finishes and décor potential in Sierra’s layouts. Choices will include one-bedroom, one-bedroom + den, two-bedroom, two-bedroom + den and three-bedroom suites. The Signature Series suites will have terraces, some up to 1,500 sq. ft. in size. Suites are priced from the mid-$200s to over $1 million.
