With 500,000 square feet of mixed use space, South Unionville Square [map] is a big project, and today we’ve learned that it just got a whole lot bigger.
We heard the news from Mady Development Corp, who announced that their Residences of South Unionville Square condo tower received approval to upgrade from eight stories and 165 units to twelve stories and 253 units.
So if my math is correct, that means there are 88 more chances for interested buyers to purchase suites in this new Markham-area development.
This is definitely good news for buyers, as Mady Development Corp. has dubbed the project a “future landmark” in Markham.
This is because it’s more than just residential space, South Unionville Square will also include 700 retail, office, restaurant and medical spaces in an effort to enhance the area surrounding the new residences and the Markham community as a whole.
A good developer doesn’t just build great homes, they help build communities in the process and this is exactly what Mady Corporation is doing with South Unionville Square. Kudos!
