The long-awaited court battle between the Canadian real estate industry and the federal competition watchdog finally has a court date.
The Canadian Real Estate Association and the Competition Bureau will meet at the Competition Tribunal on April 25, 2011 in Ottawa to deal with charges that CREA is anti-competitive, sources told the Financial Post.
Melanie Aitken, Commissioner of the bureau, filed an application with the tribunal in February in which she referred to CREA’s practices as anti-competitive.
