If you’re an avid follower of the BuzzBuzzHome Blog!, you might know that we do a monthly summary of the 10 Hottest New Developments.

That number one spot is perhaps the most coveted position in new residential development across Canada. Getting on that list really means that you’ve “made it” in the Canadian development world (in our humble opinion).

And what’s your best bet for getting on the list? L.A. Inc! Turns out 7 out of the 10 hottest developments for June 2010 were marketed by LA Inc:

Art Condominiums, West Queen West, by Triangle West Developments

12 Degrees, Downtown, by BSäR

One Valhalla Towns and Condos, Etobicoke, by Edilcan

Thompson Residences, Freedville!, by Freed

Five Condos at 5 St. Joseph, Toronto, Graywood Developments Ltd and Mod Developments Inc.

DNA 3, Downtown Toronto, by Canderel Stoneridge

Twenty One Clairtrell, North York, by The Rockport Group

One condominium in particular caught our attention: Five Condos at 5 St. Joseph. Their branding is edgy and chic with their homepage sporting a woman draped in the latest fashions (including washed out jeans and netted heels which are VERY cool). And the overall message of the page is “what lies beyond the ordinary”.

We even like their simple, yet interesting logo! You often see “S” written as “5” in logos (think “SEN5ES“, but you never see the roman-numeral ‘V’ in the logo.
Yes. Yes. We like their marketing… but, we also really dig the project… So what’s “beyond the ordinary” about this development you might ask? Well, first of all…the location is amazing! Imagine living at Yonge and Wellesley, right between “the two most important intersections in the city” (Yonge and Bloor, Yonge and Dundas). Pretty awesome.

Other features that make this condo stand out from the crowd include six levels of underground parking (beneath the soaring 45 storey building) and a wide variety of floorplans including loft-like units. A loft around Yonge and Wellesley? That sounds pretty out of the ordinary to me!

Also, the team they acquired for the project is pretty impressive too! The building itself is designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects and the interiors are by Cecconi Simone. But one real standout is the two (that’s right, TWO!) landscaped roof gardens designed by the acclaimed landscape architect Janet Rosenberg.

Another feature, which might be understated in the marketing campaign is that all the suites are “future technology-ready”. I don’t really know what that means, and I’ve looked at a LOT of condo websites…but it sounds wicked cool!

If you want to keep up-to-date on the latest from Mod Developments (one of the developers for 5 St Joseph) check out their Twitter account here.

Or, if you want to check out the awesomely awesome LA Ads on twitter click here (I only wish they kept their Twitter account more up-to-date).

So… congratulations to LA Inc. We love these guys. FYI: They also branded BuzzBuzzHome, and designed BuzzBuzzHome!
