RentCompass is a rental search service provider for mobile devices. Its now launched what may be Canada’s first real estate search application for the iPad.

Currently, real estate tech companies are racing to get their sites optimized for the iPad and other touch devices. Mobile touch panels will most probably be the primary web interface of the near future.

And so, it seems RentCompass is positioning itself well to compete with Craigslist, Kijiji, Padmapper, and even the MLS.

Rentcompass is a good looking and functional site – the fact that they’ve got a fair bit of rental listings (maybe pulled from another site)* and are iPhone and iPad optimized makes RentCompass a great tool for renters as well as an interesting site to watch for those who follow real estate tech.

*RENTCOMPASS SAYS: “…data on RentCompass is organic entered/supplied by property management companies, individual landlords and real estate agents. Nothing is pulled from another website”.

Thanks for the clarification RentCompass!
