Canadians are very happy people. In fact, when it comes to enjoying their local areas, they are second most satisfied with the Dutch being the most satisfied.
This information comes fresh off the press from market research company Ipsos, who asked roughly 23,000 people if they were satisfied with their local areas.
What were the most important factors to area-satisfaction? Job prospects, clean streets and the level of crime and public transport.
“During a global economic crisis it is easy to forget that how people experience their local areas day to day has a huge impact on their quality of life,” said Bobby Duffy, director of the Ipsos Social Research Institute, in a statement.
The Top 6 satisfaction level with their neighbourhood?
- Dutch – 85%
- Canada – 83% satisfaction,
- Australia – 82%
- United States
Who are the least satisfied?
The people of South Korea were the most unhappy with their local area (a mere 34% satisfaction level).
