Generations of beavers exploiting prime real estate conspired to build the world’s largest beaver dam in Alberta, a structure 40 years in the making, according to the ecologist who found it.
“Beavers are smart. They try to use the least esffort,” Jean Thie of EcoInformatics told the Star on Friday. “A number of generations worked on this. You can see two beaver dams joined by a lodge.”
