Tonight sees Ice Condominiums [map] official groundbreaking celebrations at the Maple Leafs Square Galleria at 15 York Street, just north of Lake Shore.
Ice condos was recently recognized internationally as Community of the Year by The NationalsSM, and sales have been so successful that construction on ICE has now begun.
Scandinavian-inspired design characterizes this mixed-use two-tower condominium neighbourhood, which will include a major office building, is connected to Toronto’s PATH system, is the new anchor of the South City Core, and encompasses the largest green roof canopy in Canada.
ICE is situated across from Maple Leaf Square – Canada’s only fully integrated sports and entertainment complex, which is being developed as a collaboration among Lanterra Developments, The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd.
The event starts at 6.30PM with the official ceremony at 7.00PM so if you want to see Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone “dig” into a replica of the ICE community sculpted from ice to symbolize construction start, then get your skates on and head over to Maple Leaf Square!
