Last week, BuzzBuzzHome had the pleasure to be invited along to a tour of Ancroft Place [map] by Canlight Realty President Vernon Shaw.
Mr. Shaw graciously showed us around what we can only describe as a gorgeous plot of land and filled us in on all things Ancroft – from it’s rich historical background to the detailed plans for its future.
Walking around the grounds of Ancroft Place can be quite surreal. It’s like being planted right in the middle of a rural English farming village. You drive a little up Sherbourne off of Bloor, swing a right, and then lo and behold, you’re in a whole other world.
We were blown away. To have such a development only steps away from the hustle and bustle of the city is really unique, especially in Toronto. It’s secluded enough that you aren’t bothered by the noise from the nearby traffic yet accessible enough that you’re never more than a short trip away from anything you need. In fact, Yorkville is only a 10-minute walk away.
Prospective buyers will have three options when buying; buy the unit as is, un-renovated, buy a unit with full renovations done by Canlight, or buy as is and choose their own company to renovate.
Ancroft Place really is a hidden treasure. The pictures don’t do it justice and we thoroughly recommend that you do a drive-by of the cul-de-sac if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed!
