Coming home after working in New York for two years, Hutcheson says Toronto has a bright future

I think our public transportation system is under-appreciated. I think The PATH is under-appreciated. I think the value of our downtown real estate and housing stock is in many ways under-appreciated. Toronto can be its own worst enemy.

The American dream is very much to live and work in the suburbs. What falls out from that is that downtown quality of life becomes compromised.

In our country and in this city, people can live and work downtown and the office product and retail product in the core is worth on a relative basis more than in the U.S. or elsewhere.
