Important times in
Mississauga’s history:

1805 – Toronto city officials buy 84,000 acres of land from the Mississauga Indians for 1,000 pounds.

1939 – Malton airport opens, being renamed the Lester B. Pearson International Airport in 1984.

1973 – Square One Shopping Mall opens for business.

2008 – Parkside Village begins to make headlines as Amacon sets to redefine living in downtown Mississauga.

Yep, that’s right. The builidng of Parkside Village [map] gets put on the same historical timeline as land purchase from the Algonquian Mississaugas. And with just cause, as the sheer size of this new ‘Urban Village’ cannot be underestimated.

So Urban Village, what’s up with that?!

Amacon is saying that Parkside Village will add a ‘Street Life’ to Mississauga. Even though it has a growing skyline, Mississauga still lives like the ‘burbs.

Parkside Village
will change all this with pedestrian friendly streets, shops, cafes, parks etc. Ever seen that show ‘Extreme Home Makeover’? Well…’s kinda like that, except there’s 30 acres to makeover.

Urban Village means mixed use zoning, medium density development and an emphasis on urban design. Parkside Village is a prime example of all three. Don’t believe us? Check out their ‘Statistics’ page on their website for a better idea!

Parkside Village
is Mississauga’s hottest selling site and leads all Mississauga projects in sales. For more info visit their website
