Yep, that’s right. The builidng of Parkside Village [map] gets put on the same historical timeline as land purchase from the Algonquian Mississaugas. And with just cause, as the sheer size of this new ‘Urban Village’ cannot be underestimated.
So Urban Village, what’s up with that?!
Well, Amacon is saying that Parkside Village will add a ‘Street Life’ to Mississauga. Even though it has a growing skyline, Mississauga still lives like the ‘burbs.
Parkside Village will change all this with pedestrian friendly streets, shops, cafes, parks etc. Ever seen that show ‘Extreme Home Makeover’? Well…..it’s kinda like that, except there’s 30 acres to makeover.
Urban Village means mixed use zoning, medium density development and an emphasis on urban design. Parkside Village is a prime example of all three. Don’t believe us? Check out their ‘Statistics’ page on their website for a better idea!
