Potential homebuyers in Calgary now have more choice heading into the busy spring real estate market.
Multiple Listing Service data released today by the Canadian Real Estate Association says new listings in March jumped by 43.3 per cent from a year ago to 5,433 units.
At the provincial level, Alberta saw new listings rise by 30.8 per cent to 12,379 units while nationally they rose by 25.3 per cent to 97,663 last month – a record for the month of March.
“The rise in new listings means that buyers may shop around more before making an offer,” said CREA president Georges Pahud.
