Well well well. Those guys over at ART Condos [map] are flexing their creative muscles once again.

Not happy enough with having the most unique social media campaign for a condo building out there at the moment, they’re now looking to engage the community even more with a photo and video based contest called ARTiculate.

With the tagline ‘What does today’s Queen West mean to you?’ they are obviously continuing with their neighbourhood based focus.

The public is being asked to upload videos and photos of the West Queen West area to ART’s facebook page and then vote on the entries.

This is yet another example of how the team behind ART Condos are bucking the trend and using non-traditional outlets to promote their project.

One admirable thing about the contest is that it’s not self-serving. The winners in each category will have their entries displayed in the finished ART building and will be a permanent part of the decor. They’re looking to engage the community, not sell their last few units.

Our inside sources tell us that ART have a few surprises up their sleeves over the coming weeks so we for one will be paying attention to what they have in store.

Now excuse me, I’m heading down to Queen West to shoot the winning video!! But, feel free to “VOTE” for my photo upload (Matthew Slutsky’s entry)!

For more information on the ARTiculate contest visit ART Condo’s blog and facebook page.
