I don’t know about you, but I have been sick of condo advertising campaigns centering around “lifestyle” pictures for a long long time.

But, a new and daring campaign by Point of View’s MidTown Calgary Condos [map] has broken the tradition, and is getting a lot of online attention for it.

Point of View’s MidTown Calgary Condos ads can be seen above urinals at Calgary pubs and bars and has since ignited a heated social debate.

The ad contain the slogan:

“a $20,000 down payment is as easy as a 25-year-old scotch, or a 25-year-old blonde on a 25-year-old scotch. Get on it.”

Yes. The advertisement has gotten the developer in some hot water by local residents, but it has also gained attention across Canada, has a Facebook page against it, and has people Twittering up a storm.

This is a funny advert. This is far superior to the traditional lifestyle adverts that show nothing more than a happy couple, holding hands in an nondescript location.

Love it or hate it? In any event, it has caught a lot of attention!
