After rumours and speculation, details finally emerge regarding Number One Bloor [map] by Great Gulf Homes (formally the site of One Bloor by Bazis, aka 1 Bloor).

The siteplan submitted to the City last Friday, along with rumours, says that the building will be:

– 65 storeys;
– 687 units;
– two storey podium, with 104,000 square feet of retail.

According to the Globe and Mail, the much loved Hariri Pontarini Architects will be designing the building:

“Toronto firm Hariri Pontarini is designing the proposed tower at the southeast corner of Yonge and Bloor streets, but the architects have yet to formally unveil drawings.”

FAWK! Still no drawings to see. We will keep you updated, if we ever find them. However, I should mention that the Globe and Mail article references the building as “A curvy 65-storey condominium”… Very interesting!! Maybe “the best intersection in Canada” can expect an Absolute style building in the near future??? (not sure what “Absolute” style is? check it out here).

When can you expect to sign your Agreement of Purchase and Sale? “We’ll be going to sale within the next 60 days,” said Bruce Freeman, vice-president of the development company.
