HUSH Homes, on January 30, showed its support towards Canada’s efforts in this year’s Paralympic Games to be held in Vancouver and Whistler from March 12 – 21.

HUSH welcomed Oakville’s Greg Westlake, 2006 gold medalist on Canada’s Paralympic Sledge Hockey team, to its model home at 417 Lakeshore Road West.

As a measure of support HUSH, developer of the new Avalon [map]neighborhood and the nearby Gardens at Coronation [map] donated along with The Invidiata Group, $1,000 to Canada’s Paralympic team for every home sold at the one-day event.

To kick off the campaign, Naheel Suleman, president of HUSH together with Christopher Invidiata officially “Dropped the Puck” with Greg Westlake as they presented to him a cheque for the first $2,000 of the campaign.

Greg spoke throughout the afternoon about his Paralympic experiences and what it means to be a gold medalist Paralympic athlete. Potential buyers were able to join him for pictures, autographs, and open discussions, as well as take in the gold medal game that was replayed at the model home.

“It was our way of showing support for a truly worthwhile endeavor and a great national organization,” said Naheel Suleman, HUSH president. “Our Paralympic athletes are a national treasure and a source of enormous inspiration to all of us.”

HUSH has won a rapidly growing reputation in Oakville for the superb design, exquisite finishes and lasting value of its homes at Avalon and The Gardens at Coronation, further west and overlooking Coronation Park.

Both neighborhoods offer similar sized homes at similar prices. They can be custom designed from 2,600 square feet, to more than 4,000 square feet. Prices start at $1.295 million and go up to $2 million plus. Homes can be fully customized or can be chosen from a selection of homes designed by The Hicks Partnership, Oakville’s leading custom luxury architect firm. Designs allow for a choice of the master bedroom on the main floor plus three bedrooms on the second storey or all four bedrooms on the second floor.

Avalon is a neighborhood of 13 French-inspired in South West Oakville area. These are stone and stucco tributes to Bill Hick’s architectural skills. The Gardens at Coronation are 14 brick and stone homes adjacent to Coronation Park. They also offer the option of third floor finished with sky lofts with windows and terraces overlooking the lake and the park’s sprawling green spaces.

Built to energy star standards, with hardwood floors, 10 foot ceilings, Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances; granites, marble and imported ceramic tiles in kitchens and bathrooms with Kohler fixtures throughout are just a sample of the long list of luxurious features.

HUSH offers a very cool and unique home certification program where buyers can receive annual home inspections during the entire time they live in their HUSH home (hmmm.. this may be worth a further blog post.. it is a really cool program).

“We believe that certification is not only a vehicle to maintain our promise to have ongoing dialogue and communication in our buyers, but also ensures that our quality and workmanship is maintained at the highest level in which these homes were built in. This will add considerably resale value as each home will have documented certification and maintenance.
