This story is so funny we had to post it…

The Norwegian Olympic men’s curling team is the talk of competitors and fans alike with their red, white and blue harlequin-pattern pants. The team squared off against top-ranked Canada on the first day of competition yesterday and the loud trousers had the Vancouver Olympic Centre buzzing.

Swedish skip Niklas Edin was playing Britain’s David Murdoch, but joked that he was still distracted by the adjacent sheet of ice. “We saw four clowns coming up and down the ice,” Edin joked. The pants are made by LoudMouth Golf, the brand made famous by professional golfer John Daly. Norway skipper Thomas Ulsrud, pictured, said he did not expect the fuss his slacks are causing . And the reaction back home in Norway? “The tendency is, the chicks dig them and the guys … they’re not too sure about it,” he said.

BTW the pants now have their own Facebook page with 46,469 fans…
updated Friday Feb 19 – Page now has 135,182 fans!!
