A Barberton man is behind bars accused of luring a real estate agent into an Akron home.

According to Akron Police, 52-year-old Robert Willet sent a graphic text image to the female agent’s cell phone on January 3rd.

Police say, Willet then called to schedule an appointment to see a home on Avondale Drive in West Akron January 18th.

The woman feared for her safety and through a family member, notified police before the appointment.

Police sent an undercover officer to confront Willet during the showing of the house.

Officers say, Willet had among other items, scissors, a box cutter, flashlight, cell phone and a local fire department badge.

Robert Willet is facing charges for attempted abduction and possession of criminal tools.

Since his arrest, detectives followed up with another victim on a similar incident from October 2006, which resulted in an additional charge of gross sexual imposition.
