Turning old, energy-wasting buildings green isn’t just environmentally sound–it’s good business.

That was the case Leanne Tobias, author and sustainable real estate consultant from Washington, D.C., made to an Edmonton audience of architects, developers and municipal officials Wednesday.

“It’s been put on a left-right political continuum,” Tobias said of sustainable redevelopment.

“It should really be about putting a better product on the market for a better price.”
