Recession? What recession? New numbers from the B.C. Real Estate Association show a sharp rise in housing sales. It’s all in the Fall 2009 Housing forecast and despite a slow start to the year, the Association says the province will see a 20 per cent increase in sales over 2008.

The Association’s Cameron Muir says it’s all thanks to a big upswing in sales this fall. “A rebound was expected given in the winter months we were seeing the financial crisis unfold and the recession unfolding. But in markets like Vancouver and Victoria, fall home sales are or at near record levels.”
