Yellowbird, a start-up based in the Netherlands, is launching a technology that approximates Google Street View done with video cameras.

Brian Boero of 1000 Watt Consulting writes, “The company (YellowBird) was covered by Techcrunch last week and received so much traffic that they had to take down their demo. But the site gives you a sense for what’s coming, and what’s coming is pretty mind-blowing. It’s stuff like this and nascent “augmented reality” technologies like Layar and Wikitude that make me certain we are far from done with online real estate search innovation.”

With online applications such as Yellowbird, perspective home purchases may soon be able to experience full motion tours of homes and their surrounding neighborhoods – cool.
