Warren Edward Buffett is a U.S. investor, businessman, and philanthropist. He is one of the most successful investors in history, the largest shareholder and C.E.O. of Berkshire Hathaway, and was once ranked by Forbes (2008) as the richest person in the world with an estimated net worth of approximately US$62 billion. When Mr. Buffett has something to say about real estate and housing, I listen!

What does Buffett have to say? He sees good times ahead for the housing industry! In a story in the Des Moines Register, Buffett is quoted as saying that all of the housing industry’s problems will be “over in 18 months or something like that.”

Read Jeff Eckhoff’s full article “Buffett says he sees America in Des Moines store” in the Des Moines Register (July 31, 2009). Note of warning: the article doesn’t say much more than the above mentioned.
