Everyone learns from their mistakes, but in urban design, mistakes are often set in stone – and concrete, steel and asphalt.
Because of this, good urban planning requires critical hindsight and practical foresight. Without experts to identify structural pitfalls from the past and avoid them in the future, developers can trap whole communities in areas that, simply put, just don’t work.
