Just after 8am, on July 29 2009, a rock fell from a construction site injuring a worker at King St. and Spadina Ave in Toronto.

The man was in the construction pit, three floors below grade, when a piece of machinery or a rock fell from a hydraulic scissor lift and hit him in the chest.

The construction worker, thought to be in his 50s, was taken to Toronto Western Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are currently investigating, prior to the Ministry of Labour commences their extensive investigation.

King St. W. is closed between Spadina and Portland St.
