Homes sales Vancouver Island have been on the upswing in recent months but overall sales volume dropped 26% over the same time last year, according to the latest figures from the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board. 

In April, 379 homes sold across the Island in the VIREB region, down from 511 the same month a year ago. The average selling price, $327,824, reflects a 9% drop from $359, 152 at the same time last year.
